Morgan has recently announced its plans to introduce a more powerful version of the Plus 4 next week, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere.
With the 84th edition of the Geneva Motor Show coming in pretty fast, most carmakers are getting ready for the automotive event, and one of these ones is Morgan, which has recently announced some plans with an updated model. According to the car manufacturer, the new Morgan Plus 4 will be a more powerful version of the model which will be getting a four-cylinder engine under its hood.
The specifications of the unit haven’t been announced just yet, but as we all know, the current Morgan Plus 4 has a 2.0 liter four-cylinder Ford Duratec engine, which is developing a total output of 145 HP (108 kW) and it has a peak torque of 190 Nm (140 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, Mazda-derived, which is allowing the two-seater to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 190 km/h (119 mph). Details on the more powerful Morgan Plus 4 will be announced during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, next week.
