The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently announced that a more powerful Juke-R will be produced in a limited number.
According to the car company, the Nissan Juke-R will be available in a limited production run on a build-to-order bases and this will be even more powerful than the original concept version. Nissan says that it has already received three firm orders for the production version of the Juke-R out of which two are coming from a well-respected member of the Dubai society. The first production vehicles are already under development and they will be delivered this summer.
“The Juke-R was originally intended as a one-off concept to marry two of Nissan’s most innovative models. But the reaction we had to the car in Dubai was amazing – people were making offers for the original on the street. With such a strong reaction, and three genuine offers on the table, we decided we had to make the car a reality”, said the Marketing Product Manager for the Juke, Gareth Dunsmore.
Even if the production version of the Juke-R has been officially confirmed, Nissan didn’t say anything about its performance but as a reminder, the concept car came with 485 BHP and could do the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 257 km/h (160 mph). Rumors say that the production Juke-R will come with 545 HP and 627 Nm of torque (463 lb-ft).
