British luxury carmaker Bentley is presenting the 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed at the 2012 Moscow Motor Show.
With 616 hp and a 330 km/h top speed, it’s the latter figure that gives it Bentley’s fastest production car crown. 0-60 in 4 seconds. Damn sexy. Refined. The gentleman’s supercar. For the GT Speed, Bentley has modified the chassis and steering setups, and the car’s overall ride height has been lowered. How thirsty is this engine? Its European numbers have it at about 22.5 litres/100km in the city, and a rather more reasonable 10.4 L/100km on the highway.
The Bentley Continental GT Speed is 4,806 mm long, 1,944 mm wide and 1,394 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,746 mm. Bentley is saying that the GT Speed has been inspired from the “Speed” models from 1923 and the first generation of the Continental GT Speed, which was introduced back in 2007, was a huge success, so this new one is also expected to find a lot of new owners in a short time.
The “gentlemen’s supercar” as it was named by a lot of people is coming with 50 HP and 100 Nm more than the standard version and all of this power is being sent to the rear wheels through a new ZF eight-speed close-ratio automatic transmission. More details on the Bentley Continental GT Speed will be announced soon.
