McLaren Special Operations has recently announced its plans to introduce a customized version of the P1 and the 650S Spider during the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, later on this month.
The McLaren 650S Spider has been created by MSO in collaboration with McLaren Newport Beach and McLaren automotive Design director, Frank Stephenson. The model in question has received a Cerulean Blue exterior finish and it has satin carbon fiber detailing on the front bumper, on the rear bumper’s central area, on the side air intakes and on the rear diffuser.
It has a chromed exhaust system too, ten-spoke lightweight alloy wheels, carbon black leather upholstery with contrasting blue stitching, MSO branded carbon fiber sill panels, MSO leather bag with dark chrome metal inserts, a dedication plate and several other tweaks.
The McLaren P1 by MSO has been commissioned by a customer living in North America and it has McLaren Orange accents, a Stirling Grey paint with glossy carbon fiber accents, a 24 carat gold heatshield around the engine bay and the inconel exhaust, Alcantara and carbon fiber in the cabin, carbon fiber shell racing seats with 4-point harness, satin nickel air vents and more. The two models will be officially unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Carmel, California, next week.
