The finalists for the 2015 North American Car and Truck of the Year have been recently announced.
After telling us about the about three months ago, time has come to meet the finalists for the prestigious awards. These include the Ford Mustang, the Hyundai Genesis and the Volkswagen Golf, in the North American Car of the Year, and the Chevrolet Colorado, the Ford F-150 and the Lincoln MKC, in the North American Truck / Utility of the Year.
“The names were disclosed today at news conference in Detroit when Denny Moyer, a partner at Deloitte & Touche, handed over the names to Mark Phelan, the automotive critic for the Detroit Free Press and a member of the NACTOY jury”, as it is being said in the official press release.
The North American Car and Truck of the Year awards are now in their 22nd year and the winners are selected by a jury made from 57 members, from television, newspapers, radio stations, magazines and websites. Speaking about the winners, you should know that these will be announced at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit, on the 12th of January. The Car of the Year for 2014 was the Corvette Stingray and the Truck / Utility of the Year was the Chevrolet Silverado.
