Nascar: Stenhouse Jr. wins incredibile Nationwide finish

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had steam coming out of his ears, smoke billowing from his car and an old nemesis hot on his tail Saturday night.
Stenhouse was well ahead when his No. 6 Ford blew an engine coming out of the final turn at the .875-mile oval. With smoke obscuring Edwards’ view, he slammed into the back end of Stenhouse and shoved him across the finish line. Stenhouse crossed the line sideways.

“All I was doing the whole time was looking in the mirror,” Stenhouse said of one of the most bizarre final laps in the history of the NASCAR Nationwide Series. “It just worked out he hit us pretty square and shot us across the line.”

There was no altercation between Stenhouse and Edwards after the race had concluded.

“We’ll take care of it at the shop, and we’ll work on it,” Edwards said. “I’ve got a fast teammate, and we really get along. He’s got a lot of enthusiasm, and it’s paying off. He’s doing a great job.”

Pole sitter Elliott Sadler was third, followed by Josh Wise and Aric Amirola.
For once, luck was on Stenhouse’s side.
