The Need for Speed movie from 2014 should have paved the way for an all-new vehicle-driven action packed franchise, but if the flick wasn’t a real success you can still enjoy the opportunity to snatch one of the featured vehicles.
We’re talking here about a GTA Spano, which is currently up for grabs for a rather steep price tag – $1.62 million. The model is being built by Spanish automaker Spania GTA, with the GTA Spano being an oddball among supercars – so if you fancy taking risks and go for a model that almost no one would have heard of you’ll be rewarded with something really exotic. This yellow painted model was used in the NFS movie and it appears its presence in a sequel is highly unlikely since it’s now up for sale – albeit for a rather prohibitive $1.62 million – 1.5 million euros. You’ll indeed get a supercar worthy vehicle that can handle the sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in around 2.9 seconds and will then thrust all the way up to more than 230 mph (370 km/h).
The serious performance is made possible by the mighty biturbo 8.0-liter V10 engine churning out no less than 925 horsepower and 900 pound-feet (1,220 newton meters) of torque. The engine has been mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. The model is being sold by authorized dealer Super Garage Marbella and the automaker itself has confirmed it was the only unit used during the shoot of the NFS movie. The Spano starred alongside other supercars such as the McLaren P1, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento or the Bugatti Veyron.
