The North American based automaker Cadillac has recently teased a new concept car for the Monterey automotive event in California, by showing renderings of the model.
After pulling the wraps off its latest concept car, the Cadillac Ciel, one year ago during the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the car manufacturer is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time after releasing a couple of images with a whole new concept car, which will be officially presented to the public in Monterey, California, this year.
Judging by the fact that Cadillac is already competing with models like the BMW 3-Series, the BMW 5-Series and its rivals, the automaker might develop this new concept car as a direct rival for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the BMW 7-Series or the Audi A8, but there is no official word on this subject for the moment.
As a quick reminder, the latest concept car to come from Cadillac, the Ciel, was taking its power form a 3.5 liter twin-turbo V6 engine which was developing a total output of 425 horsepower, with a peak torque of 430 lb-ft (583 Nm), mated to a hybrid transmission with low-speed all-electric driver, sending power to the all-wheel drive system. The Cadillac Ciel Concept is one of the best looking cars and the model could have wear a better logo on its body. The new Cadillac concept was teased at this year’s 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
