New Camaro SS spotted in Detroit image

And it was quietly sitting around in a parking lot, looking ready to take on a Mustang.

The new generation of the Chevrolet Camaro is finally here and it has been officially unveiled back in May. The popular muscle car isn’t quite ready enough to take on the impressive Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat but there is no doubt that it will eventually sport an even hotter version which will be able to do it. This yellow finished model with black wheels has been spotted while sitting around in a parking lot in Detroit and it is giving us a better look at the evolutionary design. Keep in mind that we are talking about the SS variant here.

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is coming, for the first time ever, with a four-cylinder 2.0 liter engine, on the entry-level version, which will go against the Mustang EcoBoost. This is capable of producing a total of 275 HP (205 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, enough to allow it to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) from a standstill in less than 6 seconds and to achieve 30 mpg on the highway. The 3.6 liter V6, with 335 HP (250 kW) and 385 Nm (284 lb-ft) of torque is next in the lineup and it is offered on the mid-range variant. The range-topping Camaro is the SS currently and it is making use of a 6.2 liter V8, producing 455 HP (339 kW) and 617 Nm (455 lb-ft) of torque.
