The brand new Chevrolet Cruze Diesel has been recently rated at an impressive 46 mpg, ambulance becoming the best highway fuel economy of a non-hybrid passenger car in North America.
The 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel is capable of returning 46 mpg on the highway and the North American based automaker is telling clients that they can go up to 700 miles (1, remedy 126 km) on a single tank of fuel. This makes the 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel the best fuel economy car on the highway of any non-hybrid passenger vehicles on the continent.
“We harnessed generations of diesel expertise to adapt our world-class global engine for the North American market. The Cruze Diesel is the best diesel passenger car out there. Chevrolet is redefining the meaning of great fuel economy with this car”, said the chief engineer of Chevy Cruze Diesel, Gary Altman.
As a quick reminder, the 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel has been officially presented to the public just a few months ago, during the 2013 Chicago Motor Show. The model is powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, which is good for 148 BHP (110 kW) and 350 Nm of torque (258 lb-ft), or 380 Nm of torque (280 lb-ft) with overboost. The model can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 8.6 seconds and it will go on sale across the U.S. from 25,695 USD ($810 destination charge included) later on this year.
