The French based automaker Citroen has recently released a teaser image with a new DS model, which might actually be the replacement of the current C6.
Inspired probably by the success of their premium range and the good welcoming by its European customers, the car manufacturer is announcing a fourth DS model, but rather than answering some questions, this latest teaser image is placing the model even more into the shadows. Just like it has gotten us used to, the French based carmaker has published the teaser image on its official Facebook page, but even if the model has been highlighted, the company didn’t release any details on it so in this stage we can only speculate on what this will actually be.
Judging by the image posted above this article and ignoring everything else, our thoughts are “flying” towards the Metropolis Concept car which might make its way to the production line and the vehicle which is hiding behind the teaser looks very much like a new premium car. The Metropolis Concept was 5.2 meters long and it was powered by a hybrid powertrain, made out of a 2.0 liter V6 engine and an electric motor, mated to an automatic double clutch transmission with six gears, developing 460 horsepower. More details on the future Citroen DS model will be announced close to the model’s debut which might be Paris in autumn or even Frankfurt.
