New Ferrari 458 Italia crashed in Florida image

A Ferrari 458 Italia supercar has met its end in Florida after the owner has lent it to a friend who owns an exotic car rental agency and the customer has wrecked it.

Exotic supercars combined with the lack of driving experience will often lead to spectacular crashes and the last images of the vehicles ending up on the web. This is the case here too but for once, the owner of the Italian model had nothing to do with crashing his ride. According to Wrecked Exotics, the Ferrari 458 Italia in question has been lent to a friend who owns an exotic car rental agency. The customer who has rent it has also wrecked it and because the owner gave the vehicle to a private party, the insurance company will not cover the damages.

The Ferrari 458 Italia is coming in a two-seat body style, Coupe and Spider, and it has been in production since 2009, coming as a replacement for the F430. The model in question stands at 4,527 mm long, 1,937 mm wide and 1,213 mm tall, with a weight of 1,485 kg. Power is being provided by a 4.5 liter V8 engine, shared with Maserati, which is good for 562 HP (419 kW) at 9,000 rpm and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque, with 80 percent available at 3,250 rpm. The unit is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, helping it sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds and reaching a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).
