A variant of the current Karma sedan will be officially unveiled by Fisker at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show this month, which will be around 5 meters long with the same electric drivetrain and aluminum space frame.
Rumors say that the new Fisker model, codenamed Nina, will be sized between the Audi A5 and A6, using the same 20 kWh battery pack, but the automaker is also preparing another surprise, in the form of a convertible, originally presented at the Detroit Motor Show in 2009 under the Sunset Concept name.
Fisker has set a target for the new model and the automaker expects to sell around 3.500 units of it every year and the Karma will have to find 7.000 new owners annually.
The new Fisker model is expected to go on sale in late 2013 and it will come off the production line in Delaware, the ex-General Motors plant.
Fisker didn’t provide any more details about its new model saving the best for last with the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
