The next generation of the Ford Focus RS is expected to get 330 BHP from its future EcoBoost engine.
While some rumors were saying just a day ago that the next generation of the Ford Focus RS won’t hit the market and the ”blue oval” will focus on developing a Fiesta RS instead because of some apparent financial problems, the guys at autocar.co.uk are telling us that the next Focus RS will hit the production line and the hot hatch is expected to get a 2.3 liter turbocharged EcoBoost under its hood, which will develop a total output of 330 BHP.
If the next generation of the Ford Focus will indeed get an RS version and this will come with 330 BHP, buying a Golf GTI or an Opel Astra OPC, with their 260 BHP and 280 HP will have no meaning and Ford might actually hit the jackpot. Besides the impressive power generated by the EcoBoost engine, the next-gen Ford Focus RS will also get a mechanical limited slip differential, a stiffer suspension system, bigger brakes, Recaro racing seats, a more extreme aerodynamic body kit and many more. The next generation of the Ford Focus RS is expected to go on sale at the end of 2013.
