New Ford Mondeo revealed ahead of Detroit image

The North American based automaker Ford has recently unveiled the new Mondeo, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show.

Even if the car manufacturer has chosen to keep its model into the shadows by not releasing any official details on it until it will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit, the new generation of the Ford Mondeo has been shown ahead of its debut and it’s looking quite well. As you can see from the image posted above, the designers were definitely inspired by Aston Martin in creating that front fascia, which is elegant and even if it isn’t original, we like it.

According to Ford, the new generation of the Mondeo is coming with some interesting features, like a multi-link rear suspension, electric steering, a sat-nav with entertainment system which can be controlled by voice and the engines will apparently be revised compared to the ones found on the current model. The new generation of the Ford Mondeo will be available in the United States starting from this year, while the British version will be launched locally in 2013, so the Europeans will have to wait a little more for before being able to drive it.
