Ford has recently pulled a surprise on everyone and it presented the new generation of the Mondeo in Europe.
With the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit going on these days, and with the new Ford Fusion being presented not too long ago over-seas, time has come for the 2013 Ford Mondeo to be placed into the spotlights in Europe too, and what better way to do that than by releasing a set of fresh photos with the model. For those of you who didn’t know or forgot, the American Ford Fusion is known as the European Ford Mondeo and the new generation of the model is finally here.
As you can see from the images posted below, the only differences between the Ford Mondeo in Europe and the Ford Fusion in the US is that the European one has a different turn signal indicator and the plastic between the exhaust tips has been painted in body color. Expected engines on the European Ford Mondeo are the 1.6 liter and the 2.0 liter EcoBoost units, and a plug-in hybrid might be in the works. The new generation of the Ford Mondeo will arrive in Europe in about one year so there’s no word yet on the trim levels or price list.
