New-gen Audi R8 opens its order books in Europe image

Audi has announced the availability of the new R8 generation across Europe as order books for the sports car have opened.

The 2016 Audi R8 is now available for order across the Old Continent and on its local market, Germany, the vehicle is available from 165,000 euros, but it can go up to 187,400 euros for the range-topping version. The new R8 is offering drivers coordinate the driving dynamics parameters and four driving modes are being offered, comfort, auto, dynamic and individual. The new model has been officially unveiled earlier this year and it is coming with an evolutionary design, with curved lines, a prominent shoulder line, a CFRP fixed rear wing, trapezoidal exhausts and a large diffuser.

The new R8 generation is also getting the LED headlights with optional laser lighting units, the LED taillights, new bucket seats in the cabin, the optional Bang & Olufsen audio system, the Alcantara / pearl Nappa leather, the 12.3-inch display which is basically replacing most of the buttons and controls, the Audi phone box and more. The most important part of the model is found under its hood where the 5.2 liter V10 engine has been upgraded. The unit, which is also found on the Lamborghini Huracan, is coming in two output levels, 540 HP (397 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque, for the regular version, and 610 HP (449 kW) and 650 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque in the Audi R8 V10 Plus.
