New-gen Audi R8 spotted in Sweden image

The second generation of the Audi R8 has been photographed in the metal at a gas station in Sweden.

The 2016 Audi R8 is ending up in our news once again, physician after making its public debut at the Swiss automotive event a couple of weeks ago, story this time in the first images which are showing it in the real world. Chances are this is only a prototype but even so, it still managed to attract a lot of attention. The model is finished in black and it has German license plates. In another image, another Audi prototype can be seen and this is most likely a new generation of the A4 sedan, which is rumored to make its appearance at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September.

The brand new Audi R8 has an evolutionary design, a prominent shoulder line, curved lines, LED headlights with optional laser lighting units, LED taillights, a CFRP fixed rear wing, trapezoidal exhausts and a large diffuser. The carmaker says that the vehicle’s torsional rigidity has increased by 40 percent. The interior design is bringing the new bucket seats, the Alcantara / pearl Nappa leather, the optional Bang & Olufsen audio system, Audi phone box and a 12.3-inch display which is replacing most of the buttons and controls. Power is being provided by a 5.2 liter naturally aspirated V10 engine, which is coming in two output levels, 540 HP (397 kW) with 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque and 610 HP (449 kW) with 650 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque.
