The next generation of the BMW 5-Series, in its two body styles, sedan and estate, has been recently caught on camera by our spy photographers.
The German based automaker BMW is currently testing the new generation of the 5-Series, as our spy photographers have recently found out, when they caught the model in question on the road, wrapped in a lot of camouflage. The BMW 5-Series pictured below is coming in two body styles, sedan and estate, and even if it will not be officially presented to the public earlier than 2016, the company has already started testing it, so once it will hit the market, everything will be in its place and working just like it should.
The 2017 BMW 5-Series has a new layout of the A-post and front door, new door handles, flatter rear window and it seems to be inspired by the Vision Connected Drive concept car. The architecture and the matrix will be shared with additional models and besides the new 6-Series, the upcoming 5-Series will use some of the components of its larger brother too, the 7-Series. The new generation of the BMW 5-Series will receive, for the first time ever, a three-cylinder diesel engine. More details on the model in question are limited for the moment and will probably be announced over the following years.
