The German based automaker BMW is testing out the new generation of the X1 in cold weather, in Northern Europe, as the model in question has been recently caught on camera.
The development of a new generation of the BMW X1 is no longer a surprise as the company has been working on the crossover for quite some time now and with each passing month the model is closer to the production line and, eventually, to its future customers. The newest images with the 2015 BMW X1 have been provided by our spy photographers as the model in question has been caught on the road, with its camouflaged body, in Northern Europe.
The 2015 BMW X1 appears to be larger than its predecessor and this will translate into additional rear seat legroom. The model will be getting an evolutionary design which will be highlighted by the prominent front grille, by the plastic body cladding and by the sloping roof line. We can also notice a dual exhaust system and a tailgate mounted spoiler on the tested vehicle. The engine options are likely to be shared with the ones of the 2-Series Active Tourer so we can expect the 136 HP 1.5l 3-cylinder, the 2.0L TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder with 184 HP and 231 HP, and the diesel 2.0l with 150 HP and 184 HP.
