The upcoming BMW X5, which is wearing the 2014 model year in its name, is expected to be officially unveiled over the following months, but until that will happen, the German based automaker is currently testing it all over the world. The newest spy photos have been posted by the Chinese automotive media and they are revealing the 2014 BMW X5 being tested on public roads. The popular SUV will get the company’s latest design language and the model has grown in size.
The 2014 BMW X5, codenamed the F15, will get the latest generation of the xDrive all-wheel drive system and some new engine options which will include the 2.0 liter turbocharged diesel from the F30 3-Series, along with some other petrol and diesel units. Rumors are saying that the future X5M will get a twin-turbocharged V8 gasoline engine. The new BMW X5 will ride on the X for All architecture, which will be used on the entire BMW X range, and it will help the model loose 150 kg. More details on the new X5 remain unknown for the moment.
