A new rendering with the upcoming BMW X6 has recently hit the web and it can provide us with a first look into the new generation of the model.
Spy photographers have managed to capture the new generation of the BMW X6 on camera several times these past few months and most of the images were showing the vehicle while it was being tested in cold weather environment in Northern Europe. The image posted above has been sourced from automobile-magazine.fr and it’s based on spy photos. As you might have expected, the new X6 generation isn’t getting a radical design compared to the outgoing one, just like the new X5 isn’t looking quite different than the previous generation.
The 2015 BMW X6 will be riding on the same platform as the new X6 generation and they will be basically identical rides, except for the sloping roofline and some other tweaks. As far as the engine lineup goes, this will also be shared with the one of the new X6 generation and it will include the 450 HP (330 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque 4.4L V8 twin turbo in the xDrive50i, or the xDrive30d with its 3.0 liter diesel unit with 258 HP (190 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. The X6 M50d should get 318 HP (280 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque 3.0L tri-turbo six-cylinder diesel engine.
