The new generation of the BMW X6 will differentiate from the X5 even more and the model will be bigger and bolder than the outgoing version.
The German based automaker BMW is already working on the new generation of the X5, but once the model will hit the market, the company will focus on its sportier brother, the X6. According to the guys at Autocar, the new generation of the X6 will be based on the same platform as the new X5, but the model will be different than its brother. Our source is saying that the new X6 will be bigger and it will get a more aggressive detailing.
“We want to give our sporting models a more individual look, further separating them visually from the more practical models in our line-up”, as a BMW insider told Autocar.
The 2015 BMW X6 will be longer and it will provide additional rear legroom. The model will also get an inline six-cylinder petrol engine, a six-cylinder diesel engine and V8 petrol units under its hood, but the most significant change will be the plug-in petrol-electric hybrid, which is expected to be launched in 2015. The regular version of the BMW X6 will make its public debut next year, during the Moscow Motor Show, and its launch is scheduled for the third quarter of 2014.
