Cadillac has announced its plans to introduce the new generation of the Escalade on the Old Continent in 2014.
Just a day after officially pulling the wraps on the brand new 2015 Cadillac Escalade, the North American based automaker is announcing the SUV’s European launch. According to the car manufacturer, the new-gen Cadillac Escalade will arrive on the Old Continent sometimes next year. Cadillac says that the cheapest Escalade will start at 78,500 EUR in Germany and France, but in the Netherlands or Greece, it will climb up to 131,150 EUR. Prices for the new Escalade in the United States have been set at 63,050 USD for the base entry-level version.
Europeans will be able to order the new Cadillac Escalade generation with the same wheelbase and drivetrain options as the model available over-seas and the 6.2 liter EcoTec V8 unit will make its way into the new market too, with its 420 HP (313 kW) and 623 Nm of torque (460 lb-ft). Power is being sent to the two-wheel drive in standard or to the optional four-wheel drive, through a 6-speed automatic transmission.
