After being officially presented to the public during several international auto shows in 2011, the new generation of the Chevrolet Malibu is finally going to US dealerships.
As you can see from the image posted above, the new generation of the Chevrolet Malibu, 2013 model year, is getting ready to attract some new customers into the brand and the first models are already on their way to the US dealerships. The image above has been taken in Kansas, at the General Motors Fairfax plant, but the new generation of the Chevrolet Malibu will soon start production at the Hamtramck, Detroit plant.
As a reminder, the 2013 Chevy Malibu is in its eighth generation and it was developed on the GM Epsilon II platform. The model is coming with a choice of four engines, the 2.0 liter Ecotec with 140 HP, the 2.4 liter Ecotec with 170 HP, the 2.4 liter Ecotec with 182 and the 2.5 liter Ecotec generating 190 horsepower. All engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. With a total length of 4.859 mm, 1.854 mm wide and 1.463 mm high, the new generation of the Chevrolet Malibu has a starting price of 25.995 USD and the model is expected to be launched later this month.
