New-gen Corvette Stingray has a 6-month waiting list image

The new generation of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray currently has a 6-month waiting list so patience is required if you’re going to order the impressive sports car.

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray may have been officially unveiled at the beginning of this year, with its dealership debut being made not too long ago, but there is already a 6-month waiting list for the model, so ordering it and taking it for a spin may take longer than initially believed.

“It’s an amazing sight to see the transporters filled with Stingrays heading to customers in all corners of the country. The pride at Bowling Green is overwhelming and it shows in the tremendous quality and attention to detail going into each one of these new Corvettes”, said the GM plant manager Bowling Green Assembly plant, Dave Tatman.

The new generation of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will not be heading to dealerships all over the United States and a few months ago, General Motors said that the model will be delivered only to those dealerships which managed to sell at least four Corvettes, in 2012. The Corvette Stingray has a 50,000 USD base price and it’s coming with a 460 HP and 465 lb-ft 6.2 liter LT1 V8 engine under its hood.

6 month backlog statement appears to be inaccurate. Several dealers in TN are stating a 6 to 8 week backlog for coupes. If you order one today, you should receive it within two months.
