The new generation of the Ford Mondeo has been recently launched in China where its future customers will have to pay at least 179, 800 yuan before getting their hands on the new model.
After it was officially introduced in the United States as the Fusion and then launched in Europe as the Mondeo, the new generation of the model, which is bringing the controversial Aston Martin-like front grille, is now available for order in China too. According to the car manufacturer, the cheapest version of the 2013 Ford Mondeo starts at 179,800 yuan, but if the top of the line variant is what you’re looking for, you should get ready to pay 265,800 yuan.
Chinese people will be able to order the new Ford Mondeo generation with a choice of three engines, the 2.0 liter turbo with its 200 HP, the 2.0 liter turbo with 240 HP and the brand new high-tech 1.5 liter turbo EcoBoost four-cylinder, which is producing a total output of 181 HP and 240 Nm of torque. All units are mated to a six-speed SelectShift transmission. The Ford Mondeo is being produced in China by the Chang’an-Ford joint venture which is also producing the Focus Classic, Focus, EcoSport, Kuga and Fiesta models.
