The next generation of the Ford Mustang has recently leaked in what appear to be some clay models, revealing part of their final design.
We have recently spoken about the engine lineup which will make its way under the hood of the next generation Ford Mustang, but nothing about its exterior design, just yet. The North American based automaker has mentioned that the muscle car will get a more global design but judging by the images posted below, it seems that the company won’t go too far from its roots, with this model. The images in question have been taken at Ford’s design studio recently, but keep in mind that the final production version might be quite different.
Initial rumors are saying that the next generation of the Ford Mustang will get an EcoBoost engine under its hood, on its two main markets, the United States and Europe, which should help future owners pay cheaper taxes. Fuel consumption will also be severely improved thanks to these changes, along with the CO2 emissions. The EcoBoost engine in question is expected to be the same one from the Focus ST, which will get an increased displacement, from 2.0 to 2.3 liters, along with more power, to a total of 300 HP (220 kW). The next generation of the Ford Mustang should make its way onto the market next year.
