The new generation of the Hyundai i20 has been recently caught on camera by our spy photographers, while it was quietly sitting around in a parking lot.
The South Korean based automaker Hyundai is currently working on a new generation of the i20, which is coming two years after the facelifted version of the model has been officially unveiled. The brand new vehicle is expected to receive a completely new styling and many of the lines will probably be adopted from the recently unveiled i10. The prototype posted below has been caught on camera in northern Europe and it’s wearing some heavy camouflage on its body.
The model in question will be receiving a larger front grille, sweptback headlights, a tailgate mounted spoiler, some vertical taillights, side mirrors incorporated turn signals, some new design and technologies in the cabin along with some other tweaks. The engine lineup will include a three-cylinder 1.0 liter along with a four-cylinder 1.25 liter. There will also be a frugal three-cylinder 1.1 liter diesel, along with a larger 1.4 liter. Transmission options will include either a 6-speed manual or an automatic. More details on the model will probably be announced this year, when it should be making its public debut.
