New-gen Kia Rio arrives in Malaysia

The third generation of the Kia Rio has been recently launched in Malaysia, where the hatchback starts at RM73,888.

The brand new Kia Rio has recently made its Malaysian debut and the model is coming in two trim levels, the EX and the SX, with the five-door hatchback body style. Prices for the brand new Kia Rio EX in Malaysia have been set at RM73,888 while the SX starts at RM79,888, both of them on the road and with insurance. Both versions are coming with electric folding side mirrors, LED side repeaters, cooling glove box, static bending lights, Bluetooth, LED daytime running lights and some other goodies.

Power to the 2013 Kia Rio is being provided by a 1.4 liter MPI Gamma engine, which is producing a total output of 109 PS at 6,300 rpm and it has a peak torque of 137 Nm, available at 4,200 rpm. The unit is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission which is helping the model return 16.6 km / liter. The new Kia Rio is 4,045 mm long and it’s offering 288 liters of volume space. Five colors are available for the model, the Electronic Blue, the Bright Silver, the Clear White, the Signal Red and the Deep Blue.
