New-gen Mercedes-Benz GLK spied on the road image

Our spy photographers have managed to capture new images with the 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLK, after the model has been taken on the road for a few tests.

The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz needs to take on Audi and BMW a little harder and it’s currently working on some completely new models and new generations of its current vehicles. From the second category we can mention the new generation of the GLK, which is rumored to make its way onto the market sometimes next year. The model in question will grow in size in order to make room for the brand new GLA, but it will still compete with the BMW X3 or the Audi Q5.

The images posted below are showing us a sportier version of the GLK’s new generation, compared to the outgoing version, with a more sloping roofline and probably some other tweaks which have been hidden away under all that camouflage. The model in question will also receive the right-hand drive configuration and this means that it will finally be sold in markets like the UK, Australia or Japan. As for the engine lineup, rumors are saying that it will get a 1.8L turbo four-cylinder in the GLK 250, while the 2.1L diesel should carry over on the new GLK 250 BlueTEC. The GLK 350 will still get a V6 but we’re not sure what the AMG version will come with.
