The Japanese based automaker Nissan is planning to introduce a hybrid version of its new-gen Pathfinder to the 2013 New York Auto Show.
After showing us the new generation of the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder just a few months ago, the carmaker hasn’t finished working on the model and now rumors on a hybrid version are placing it into the spotlights once again. According to the guys at Autocar, the brand new Nissan Pathfinder will receive a hybrid version, which will be officially presented to the public during the 2013 New York Auto Show, on the 27th of March, once the automotive event will open its gates.
Rumors are saying that the Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid will share the powertrain with the Infiniti QX60 Hybrid, which will also make its way onto the show. This probably means that the new Pathfinder Hybrid will get a 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine under its hood, along with an electric motor, a lithium-ion battery and a CVT. The QX60 Hybrid is producing 250 BHP (186 kW) so the Pathfinder will stand in the same zone. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the Pathfinder Hybrid so we will have to wait for the 2013 New York Auto Show to open its gates in order to see whether this is a reality or not.
