EuroNCAP has recently rated the new generation of the Nissan Qashqai with 5 stars after the crossover has been tested in the most recent crash session.
The 2014 Nissan Qashqai has received a new engine lineup, a new exterior design and some better quality materials in the cabin, but one of the most important tests of the model is its safety and we can now definitely say that this is one of the best vehicle available for order, in its segment, as it was also rated with a 5-star rating by EuroNCAP.
The new Nissan Qashqai generation has received an 88 percent rating in Adult Occupant, where the only problems were seen in the passenger front offset, with an “Adequate” protection to the chest, with the same “Adequate” protection to the chest in the Side Pole impact and with a “Marginal” protection in the front whiplash.
The Child Occupant category has received an 83 percent safety rating, while in the Pedestrian Safety, the crossover has been awarded with a 69 percent rating. The most problems in this category were seen in the side of the hood and the side of the windscreen, where “Poor” was the word of the day. In the Safety Assist category, 79 percent were given to the vehicle, thanks to the Speed Assistance, the ESC, the Seatbelt Reminder, the Lane Support Systems and the AEB Interurban Systems. The tested vehicle was a 2014 Nissan Qashqai 1.5 dCi Acenta.
