The 2014 Car of the Year award from What Car? goes to the new generation of the Nissan Qashqai, which has been officially unveiled just a few months ago.
Originally shown just a couple of months ago, the 2014 Nissan Qashqai is ending up in our news once again, this time with the model in question being named the 2014 Car of the year by the guys at What Car?.
“The all-new Nissan Qashqai brings excellence and polish to a class of cars that is brimming with talent and tempting buys. The Qashqai delivers low costs and first-class levels of comfort, refinement, space and safety”, said the What Car? editor-in-chief, Chas Hallett.
The 2014 Nissan Qashqai has been completely redesigned both on its exterior and in the cabin, receiving higher quality materials, some gloss black trim, metallic accents, the NissanConnect infotainment system with a 7-inch touch screen display, internet connectivity an much more.
As far as the engine lineup goes, the new Qashqai generation is getting a 1.2L DIG-T as the base entry-level version, with 115 HP (85 kW) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) of torque, along with a 150 HP (110 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) 1.6L DIG-T, a 110 HP (81 kW) 1.5L dCi and the 130 HP (96 kW) 1.6L dCi.
