The new generation of the Nissan Qashqai is currently being tested on Chinese roads, before making its way into other markets across the globe.
The Japanese based automaker Nissan is currently testing the new Qashqai generation in China, where the model pictured below has been spotted. If you’re used to Chinese spy photos, than you’ll have no problem with the ones pictured below, but if you’re not, than you should probably wait for some which will be taken in Europe. The new generation of the model is expected to go on sale next year but rumors are saying that it won’t get seven seats anymore, like the outgoing Qashqai+2.
The 2015 Nissan Qashqai will be based on the 2012 Hi-Cross Concept and on the 2013 Resonance Concept and it will remain largely unchanged, except for the material used in the cabin, which will jump to near-premium levels. The model will also get a new exterior design and the ange will probably include the Renault-developed diesel engines, along with a 1.2 liter replacing the current 1.6 liter, and the 1.6 liter DIG-T in two outputs. A more powerful version, which will probably be known as the Nismo, is also expected to make its way onto the model.
