New-gen Range Rover Sport to debut in New York

The new generation of the Range Rover Sport is rumored to make its public debut, in a world premiere, next month, during the 2013 New York Auto Show.

After it was spied a few times while testing in both hot and cold weather, and with its more luxurious brother being already available for order in a lot of markets across the globe, time has come for the new generation of the Range Rover Sport to get ready for a public presentation. The 2014 Range Rover Sport is expected to be officially presented to the public next month, during the 2013 New York Auto Show, but the announcement hasn’t been made by Land Rover, just yet.

The 2014 Range Rover Sport will save 150 kg in weight and it will be around 4.78 – 4.85 meters long, which means that the model will be positioned right above the upcoming Evoque XL, and its 4.60 meters in length. The model will get a 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine under its hood, along with a 4.4 liter V8 diesel or a supercharged 5.0 liter V8 petrol. Additional details on the new generation of the Range Rover Sport are limited for the moment and will probably be announced in New York, if JLR decides to bring it to the automotive event.
