The first spy photos with the new generation of the Renault Twingo have recently hit the web, ahead of the model’s public debut scheduled for the third quarter of 2014.
The French based automaker Renault is currently working on the new generation of the Twingo and the model has been recently caught on camera by our spy photographers. The vehicle pictured below is a test mule of the new Renault Twingo generation, which has been spotted while it was being tested on public roads. The 2015 Renault Twingo is based on the TwinRun Concept, visually speaking, and it has some of the underpinnings of the upcoming Smart ForTwo.
For the first time in history, the new generation of the Renault Twingo will come with rear-wheel drive. The model in question will also receive a five-door body style, in another premiere. As for the engine lineup, this will be made from three-cylinder units with low fuel consumption, which should be appreciated by its future customers. The 2015 Renault Twingo will be officially presented to the public, in a premiere, during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, in September. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment.
