A new generation of the Seat Ibiza is said to make its public debut in just a few hours during the 2015 Barcelona Motor Show.
The Seat Ibiza in its current form has been on the market for quite some time now and while the Polo and the Fabia have been updated, the Spanish supermini has been left aside. That it until now because even if the initial rumors were stating that this will not come out any sooner than 2016, it is actually getting ready to make its public debut at the 2015 Barcelona Motor Show. The small vehicle should be based on a lighter platform and it will be coming with an evolutionary design, but if you want to buy one, you should wait probably until next year, because that’s when this will be hitting dealerships.
The fourth generation of the Seat Ibiza has been officially unveiled back in 2008, during the Geneva Motor Show. The B-segment car has hit the production line in the same year and it is using the same platform as the Polo MK5 and as the Audi A1. The vehicle is offered in three body styles, a 3-door hatchback, a 5-door hatchback and a 5-door estate and it has a wide engine lineup, including the 1.2L, the 1.2L TSI, the 1.4L, 1.4L TSI, 1.6L, 2.0L in Mexico, the 1.2L TDI and the 1.6L TDI, connected to either a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic.
