The new generation of the Skoda Fabia will be hitting the production line at the end of this month at the Mlada Boleslav facility.
In between being teased and spied several times, the new generation of the Skoda Fabia is almost ready and the model in question will be entering production at its facility in Mlada Boleslav. The Czech based automaker is already making the necessary “adjustments” for the production start of the compact hatchback and these “changes” will be made between the 4th and the 15th of August, when the plant’s activity will be stopped due to the official vacation.
In the 11 days of “break”, the paint shop will be expanded, the final part of the assembly line will be modified and new robots will be added and recalibrated. Other plants will be also upgraded, such as Kvasiny, where the body of the new Fabia will be produced, or the Vrchlabi, where the transmission will come to life. The new generation of the Skoda Fabia will borrow some styling cues from the new Rapid, Octavia and even Superb and it will get a significantly updated cabin and a new engine lineup. The model in question will be introduced at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, in October.
