The Czech based automaker Skoda has recently released a new teaser image with the next generation of the Octavia RS, which will be unveiled during the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The new generation of the Skoda Octavia RS, which is wearing the 2014 model year in its name, is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a new teaser image, which is showing part of the model’s front grille, with the “vRS” badge. The 2014 Skoda Octavia RS is “the fastest road-going Octavia” in the automaker’s history, as it has been described, and the model will offer plenty of interesting “stuff”.
The 2014 Skoda Octavia RS will follow the same path as the regular version, which has increased in size, in order to make room for the new Rapid. The model is expected to ride on the same MQB platform used by the VW Group in models like the new Audi A3, Golf 7 or the 2013 Seat Leon, amongst others. The 2014 Octavia RS might also share the same 2.0 liter four-cylinder petrol turbocharged engine from the new Golf GTI, which is good for 220 HP (162 kW) and 350 Nm of torque (258 lb-ft). Additional details on the model will be announced during the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, on the 11th of July.
