Skoda has recently announced the official starting price of the new Octavia RS generation in Romania, where the model has arrived in both body styles, sedan and Combi.
According to the car manufacturer, the cheapest model is the sedan, equipped with six-speed manual transmission, for the 2.0 liter TSI engine, which will set you back for 25,088 euros, VAT included, while the cheapest diesel comes at 25,487 euros, VAT included. The Octavia Combi RS has been priced from 25,737 euros, VAT included, for the TSI, and from 26,138 euros, for the 184 HP diesel, mated to a manual transmission.
Standard items found on the 2014 Skoda Octavia include features like the XDS electronic differential, sports suspension, electromechanic steering system, dynamic traction control, 17-inch wheels, multifunction steering sports wheel, 8-speaker audio system, aluminum pedals, Bi-xenon adaptive headlights, automatic headlamps with washers and much more.
The 2014 Skoda Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0 liter TSI engine, borrowed from the Golf 7 GTI, which is producing a total output of 220 HP (162 kW). The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in the model takes 6.8 seconds and top speed stands at 248 km/h (154 mph). The model is also getting a 2.0 liter TDI, used on the new Golf GTD, which is generating 184 HP (135 kW), enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint of 8.1 seconds and a top speed of 232 km/h (144 mph).
