A new generation of the Smart ForTwo has been recently spied while being tested on public roads, wearing some heavy camouflage on its body.
The Smart ForTwo is getting ready to receive a new generation and the images posted below stand proof that Daimler will is currently testing such a vehicle. Our spy photographers have managed to capture several test mules of the new Smart ForTwo generation while they were being on public roads but until the model will be unveiled and launched, the company has to make sure that everything is in its right place and working just like it should.
The 2015 Smart ForTwo is said to be carrying a lot of styling from the Smart Forvision Concept, which was unveiled back in 2011, and it should get a new design compared to its Renault cousin. As for the engine lineup, this will probably include a three-cylinder engine provided by Renault, and some other units. An electric-drive variant is said to make its way onto the market, probably one year after the regular version will be unveiled. Additional details on the new Smart ForTwo generation are limited for the moment and will probably be announced sometimes next year.
