The new generation of the Subaru Legacy has been recently spied while it was being tested on a public road, in Europe.
The Japanese based automaker Subaru has big plans for its future models and after announcing the public debut of the 2015 WRX at the Guangzhou Motor Show, later on this month, the carmaker has been spotted testing the new generation of the Legacy. The model pictured below represents a test mule and it should arrive in showrooms as a 2015 model, keeping the company’s five-year product cycles, but the new Legacy is believed to be unveiled in late 2014.
The 2015 Subaru Legacy will receive a 2.5 liter four-cylinder unit under its hood, for the base 2.5i version, which might be shared with the 2015 Subaru WRX. The unit should produce 173 HP and it might send its power to the symmetrical all-wheel drive, which will be offered in standard, through either a 6-speed manual transmission, which will be offered in standard, or a CVT, which will become available as an option. The 2015 Subaru Legacy will also receive an improved cabin, with better quality materials. More details on the model are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its introduction.
