New-gen Toyota Prius spied testing image

The new generation of the Toyota Prius has been recently spied testing in the desert and the model in question has been wrapped in some seriously heavy camouflage.

After we’ve presented you with the Lexus GS-F test mule, or the RC F as it might be known, time has come to write about another new Toyota-made vehicle, the 2015 Prius. This is probably good news for the rich and famous who are into saving sushi, lettuce and carrots because besides the more expensive Tesla Model S, which has become the car of choice in Hollywood and not only, the new generation of the Toyota Prius is undergoing testing.

The model in question has been caught by our spy photographers in the United States, while it was being tested in hot weather climate, in the desert. The new Toyota Prius generation will sit on a brand new modular platform and it will get an updated hybrid system, but rumors are saying that the model will get the same nickel-metal hybrid batteries. The exterior shape of the car, despite the heavy camouflage on it which doesn’t even reveal the headlights and taillights, seems to be pretty much the same, so don’t act to surprised if this will be more like a facelift with a different chassis. More details on the new Toyota Prius generation are limited for the moment and will probably be announced sometimes next year.
