The fourth generation of the Toyota RAV4 has been recently launched in Australia, where the model can be bought from 28,490 AUD.
After we have seen the new generation of the Toyota RAV4 arrive in several markets across the globe this last year, time has come for Australians to enjoy one of the most popular cars in the world. According to the Japanese based automaker, the new generation of the Toyota RAV4 is available to its future customers in Australia starting at 28,490 AUD, which is actually 500 AUD cheaper than the outgoing model.
Toyota says that 16 versions of the RAV4 are available in Australia and the model is also getting a turbo diesel engine, which will be appreciated by those who will use their vehicle daily. FWD models are getting the 107 kW 2.0 liter four-cylinder unit with 187 Nm of torque, burning 7.7 L of fuel every 100 km when mated to a six-speed manual transmission. And an extra 0.2L / 100km with the CVT (AUD2,500 more). The 2.0 liter four-cylinder petrol and the 2.2 liter four-cylinder turbo diesel are also available for the new RAV4, where the petrol has 132 kW and 233 Nm of torque while the diesel is offering 110 kW and 340 Nm of torque. The V6 version has been dropped and Toyota isn’t offering a hybrid.
