New Kia Cee’d GT – first official image released

The South Korean based automaker Kia has recently released the very first official image with the brand new Cee’d GT, ahead of its public debut next month in Geneva.

Following its web leak just a few days ago, the new Kia Cee’d GT is entering our news once again, this time with the carmaker releasing the very first image with the model, ahead of its official presentation scheduled for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. The Kia Cee’d GT represents the carmaker’s attempt to enter the C-segment for hot hatches.

The brand new Kia Cee’d GT, along with its three-door brother, the Pro Cee’d GT, is powered by the 1.6 liter turbocharged GDI four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The unit is producing a total output of 201 BHP and it has a peak torque of 195 lb-ft. The hot hatch is rumored to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 7.9 seconds. The Kia Cee’d GT and the Kia Pro Cee’d GT will enter production in May this year. Prices for the model are expected to start at approximately 26,800 euros. Additional details on the Kia Cee’d GT are limited for the moment and will be announced during the Swiss automotive event.
