New Kia Concept announced for Geneva image

Kia has recently announced its plans to introduce a brand new concept car during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, which will be officially opening its gates early next month.

With the 2015th edition of the Geneva Motor Show coming in pretty fast, most carmakers are getting ready for the event and Kia makes no difference. The South Korean based automaker has recently announced its plans to officially pull the wraps off a brand new concept car and in order to celebrate the event, it has released the teaser image posted above.

Officially speaking, we have no clue on what it will exactly be, but rumors are stating that this is previewing a new future D-segment vehicle, which is expected to be the fourth generation of the Optima. The model is adopting an evolutionary design and this will be making it instantly recognizable. This will also pack the full panoramic roof, the rakish windscreen, the retractable door handles, the LED headlights, small side mirrors, large alloy wheels and so on.

As far as the final production version of the model goes, rumor has it that this might be unveiled close to the end of this year or even in 2016. This will be getting the evolutionary design too, with a larger front grille, LED headlights, longer rear doors, a lower roofline and several other tweaks. The engine lineup is expected to pack the 185 HP (138 kW) and 241 Nm (178 lb-ft) of torque 2.4L or the smaller four-cylinder turbocharged 2.0L with 245 HP (182 kW) and 352 Nm (260 lb-ft) of torque.
