An updated version of the Kia GT Concept will be shown soon, during a major automotive event.
Rumors on Kia planning a production version of the impressive looking GT Concept have been around for quite a few years now but this report is not focusing on the variant of the car which will be brought onto the public roads, but on an updated model. According to the guys from Autovisie, the vehicle in question is believed to look production-ready and it is expected to lose the carbon fiber wheels and the rear hinged doors. Other details on the topic are limited at this time but our source is saying that this will be unveiled during a major automotive event, like the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show or the 2016 NAIAS in Detroit.
The final production version of the Kia GT Concept is going to be toned down compared to the vehicle shown a few years back so we should expect some different front and rear fascias, along with the lacking rear suicide doors, the smaller wheels and so on. The GT Concept had a 3.3 liter V6 turbocharged engine under its hood, which was capable of putting down a total of 395 HP (290 kW) and a peak torque of 545 Nm (394 lb-ft), connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The final version of the car will most likely drop this from its lineup but expect some interesting choices in this chapter.
