New managing director appointed to Renault Retail Group UK image

Renault Retail Group has appointed, effective immediately, Michal Kalina as its new managing director for all of its Great Britain operations.

Kalina, from his new position, is tasked to oversee Renault’s own Renault brand, but also the Dacia and Nissan dealerships in the United Kingdom. He is set to replace Len Curran, which has been promoted and is the new managing director for Renault Retail’s entire European region.

Ken Ramirez, managing director of Renault UK, said: “Michal’s vast experience of Renault Retail Group operations, including his previous experience in the UK market, will secure sound leadership in our largest dealer group in the UK. His appointment coincides with the clear turning point of growth for Renault and Dacia in the market, for which the Renault Retail Group network plays an important role.”

Kalina came to Renault in 1991 as a commercial manager and went on to become the commercial operations director of Renault Poland. Following a nine years stint with Renault Poland, he moved on and joined Renault Retail Group in the UK as the general manager of Renault Enfield, starting with the year 2000. He then returned to Poland in 2003 and was first responsible for setting up Renault Retail Group operations in the country, later becoming its managing director there.
