Just a few days after it has been officially unveiled, the new Mazda2 / Demio is coming back in its first renderings, in which it is being envisioned in a sedan body style.
One of the most attractive hatchbacks out there is definitely this new Mazda 2, or the Demio as it is known in some markets, and it has been officially unveiled just last week. The model in question is now stepping forward once again, in a new body style, which looks way better than the already available sub-compact sedans. Keep in mind that the images posted below are renderings and they have been published by Theophilus Chin.
The new-gen Mazda2 has the Kodo design language and a simple cabin layout. The model stands at 4,070 mm in length, 1,730 mm in width and 1,450 mm in height, riding on a 2,585 mm long wheelbase. The engine lineup includes the 1.5 liter SKYACTIV-D diesel, producing 105 HP (77 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. The unit will be joined by the 1.5 liter SKYACTIV-G, in some different versions, which will be connected to either a manual or an automatic transmission. The new Mazda2 will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, in October.
